Helmet Inside A Car!
A case more bizarre has come forward from Uttar Pradesh, where a man was apparently fined for not wearing a helmet. It would have been fine… but the thing is, he was driving a car!
Yeah, we are as hilariously shocked as you are. This happened In Bareilly. A driver has reportedly been challaned Rs 500; the invoice, for some reason mentions his car as a scooty.
Or is it just that the traffic police was actually expecting him to wear a helmet in a car?
The man’s name is reportedly Anees Narula. Anees came across the Rs 500 invoice deduction via Internet. The fine was dated July 26 (in case you were wondering how the fine was so low, it happened before the amendment in Motor Vehicles Act). When Anees reached out to the police he was informed that the challan was imposed by the civil police. They further said there might have been a confusion regarding seat belts and helmets.
